no time for error

So this one's for my father, and for that crazy look in his eye
This one's for my mother, that she might be a child and cry
This one's for my brother, for showin' me that there's things that money can't buy
This one's for my brother, for teaching me to always keep my weapons by my side )

Two things of importance I think you ladies should know. Elijah Avery has asked me to the dance. I hadn't planned on going, but I did say yes to him.

The second, Theia already knows. I received Dorea for Secret Santa. As expected, I am having a rather large amount of trouble coming up with a gift. Do any of you have any ideas?

Is it not absolutely dreadful the way everyone is going on about politics lately? Especially the females at this school. So many of them have been raised improperly.
[ETIENNE]
Elijah Avery asked me to the dance. I said yes. I would have consulted you first but -

Have you decided if you're going or not yet?
[AMALTHEIA]
Do we have any sort of number count for our soiree? Even a solid list of no's? The last thing I would want to do is over or under plan for food and drinks.

back to your regularly scheduled programs, please

I am dreadfully sorry for everyone who was so viciously attacked. It goes without saying, these sort of things should not be occurring at Hogwarts. If you are able, please help your professors when you are walking through the hallways today and capture those bludgers. Otherwise, do wear a bit extra clothing today, and be ever on guard.

Although the school is entirely out of sorts, that is no excuse for being tardy. Classes are still occuring, and curfew is still in effect. Those in the hallways when they shouldn't will continue to be reprimanded. Chaos is precisely the time we must continue with consistency.

If nothing else, I do hope this experience has taught all those students who leave papers to the night before that you cannot anticipate everything. How dreadful would it be if Amaltheia had six inches due tomorrow, and now she could not complete any of it? Plan for the unknown, my fellow students. Always.
